Our client is a UK household name in media and entertainment. The business is looking for a Director of Secretariat to join their team in London.
Reporting to the General Counsel and Company Secretary, you will work closely with the Board, and Management and Divisional Boards, to ensure they are appropriately supported and understand governance, compliance and legal matters.
Additional responsibilities will include:
Leading and managing a team of three in the department. Including being responsible for, and having oversight of, all areas of the department's functions, duties and responsibilities
Delivering corporate governance projects including NED induction programmes, training schedule for Board members and senior executives on governance matters and Board /Committee evaluations.
Monitoring and providing guidance, awareness and advice on compliance issues around the UK Corporate Governance Code, FCA rulebooks, Companies Act 2006 and other relevant legislation, regulation and guidance
Managing and delivering the Company's employee and senior executive share schemes, as well as advising and supporting the Reward team on governance and operation of share plans
To be successful in this role you will be either a qualified solicitor or a qualified Company Secretary with 10+ years experience working within a listed environment, preferably FTSE100.
This role is London based with hybrid working and an expectation to be in 2-3 days a week. This would be ideal for someone who is looking for a new challenge and wants to work in a creative, dynamic, and fast paced environment.
