In-House Commercial Lawyer - Job Brief

Contract Type: 12-month Fixed Term, Full Time (Maternity Cover)

Location: Lincoln / Home-based working

Practice areas:  Legal/Commercial/Contracts

Relevant Experience: Minimum 2 years PQE

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

The Role.

An opportunity has arisen to join our Legal & Commercial team on a fixed-term, full-time basis as an In-House Commercial Lawyer.  The successful candidate will be required to undertake a range of legal and commercial work in direct support to the Company’s Legal & Commercial Director.  The successful candidate will be required to work collegiately with other members of the Legal & Commercial team.  The Company is based in Lincoln but home-based working with occasional travel to the Lincoln office depending on work requirements will be considered.

The Person.

You will be a qualified commercial solicitor with a minimum of 2 years PQE.  You will have experience in drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts such as supply of goods and services agreements, software licensing and Software as a Service (SaaS) agreements, reseller agreements, NDAs, teaming/collaboration agreements, subcontracts and data sharing agreements.

You will preferably have some in-house experience and it would be advantageous if you had previous experience of working on public / government contracts; however this is not essential.

Your knowledge, attention to detail and ability to work as part of a small highly skilled team must be exemplary because the role will be broad and varied.  You should be prepared to assume a comprehensive range of responsibilities, be capable of working independently with light supervision and to deadlines.  You will be confident enough to research and then recommend pragmatic, business-focused solutions both within the Legal & Commercial team and to the wider business where required. Having a ‘can do’ attitude, you will be required to take a flexible, constructive and timely approach to representing the Company on legal and contractual matters.

Due to the nature of elements of the role, the successful applicant will be required to be a UK National and complete National Security Vetting which will require criminal record, security service and credit reference checks; qualification will also normally require a minimum UK residency of at least 5 years.

How to apply.

If you have the required background and are interested in joining a high performing team supporting the delivery of exceptional award winning aviation products and services to our customers, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please click apply and follow the instructions to upload your CV. Alternatively, send a copy of your CV and cover letter to careers@inzpire.com quoting job reference 22-32.
