Corporate Associate - 2-5PQE

Pure Search are instructed by a leading City law firm acting as somewhat of an anomaly in the private practice market in terms of prioritising work/life balance for associates at all levels.

The Company

Our client are one of the fastest-growing law firms in the City and, despite their continued growth, they have maintained their reputation as a genuinely open, transparent and enterprising place to work. Working with clients ranging from Premier League football clubs through to leisure groups, cryptocurrency companies, online gaming businesses and global travel companies, this is an incredibly varied role exposing you to FTSE100 companies, start-ups and everything in between.

Where our client particularly stands out is in terms of their transparency, both in terms of progression and remuneration. It is clear for all associates coming into the firm what is required of them to progress to senior associate and partnership and, in turn, they offer a clear bonus structure, offering up to 25% bonus for associates.

The Role

You will be taking on a broad corporate role covering M&A, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Joint Ventures, ECM and general corporate advisory. The firm have recently made a high-profile hire in the VC space, making this an attractive proposition for anyone looking to gain greater exposure to VC transactions.

In particular, the role will expose you to angels, founders and many leading early stage and growth VC funds across Europe. You will support clients from early/seed stage investment through the full life cycle of Series A-D and through to M&A and IPO exits.

There is a significant international dimension to the role and you will work closely with a diverse range of clients, regularly working across borders.

About You

You will be a qualified solicitor with at least two-years post-qualification corporate experience gained in the UK. You will be someone who is perhaps at a crossroads in your career where you are looking for a new challenge which won't compromise the quality of your transactional experience but will provide you with a genuinely sustainable platform where work/life balance is proactively recognised, rather than an afterthought.

Previous experience of managing your own matters is beneficial, but not essential. You should have a genuine interest in business development and a keen interest in networking as you look to build your own client following over the next 3-5 years.
