PENSIONS ASSOCIATE (x2) - 2-8PQE

Pure Search are instructed on an exciting and new opportunity for two non-contentious Pensions lawyers (Associate and Senior Associate) to play a key role in building out the Pensions practice for a leading international law firm.

The Company:

Our client is a leading international law firm with offices across Europe, the US, South America and Asia Pacific. The firm act for some of the leading names in the real estate, insurance, financial services and charities sectors. They have a track record of placing a strong emphasis on a work/life balance, with 1400 billable target hours.

With existing strengths across Employment, which consistently sees them ranked as a Tier 1 practice, they are currently significantly investing in growing their non-contentious Pensions practice, having recently made a notable partner hire to develop this practice group. This is an exciting opportunity to be one of the first in to help develop and grow the practice, with responsibilities likely to extend beyond merely fee-earning.

The Role:

Our client is looking at two hires, one at Associate level (2-5PQE) and another at Senior Associate level (6PQE+) with a clear and uninterrupted track to partnership.

You will undertake a range of pensions work for private and public sector employers, government bodies, and trustees of occupational DB and DC pension schemes. You will also work closely with financial institutions, blue chip companies, PLC's, multinationals, charities and health sector clients as well as working with other teams within the firm such as corporate and litigation.

Typical responsibilities will include:

• Acting as point of contact and advising on a range of pension matters, with a focus on advisory and transactional work;
• Playing an active role in business development and managing client relationships, including work flow and financial management;
• Building your network and brand internally within the firm and externally with clients;
• Playing an active role in marketing initiatives, attending conferences and seminars.

About You:

You will have at least 2-years post-qualification Pensions experience and be at the stage in your career where you are looking for something with more ownership and responsibility, where you can have a genuine say over the growth and development of a practice whilst also developing client relationships that you can call your own.

You will be someone that has a strong interest in business development, enjoys leading and mentoring others and is looking for a new challenge that will take you out of your comfort zone.
