Commercial Lawyer

THE BUSINESS

Significant global business with clients in multiple jurisdictions seeking a commercially minded lawyer to take on a highly client facing role.

THE ROLE

You will support the business on complex and high value international projects, and will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve the business goals. Within the wider remit of the role you will also advise on a range of ancillary issues and documents, support procurement in the drafting and negotiating of major purchasing contracts, and deliver training to both legal and non-legal colleagues.

The role would suit an individual with strong commercial contracts backgrounds, ideally gained in a construction or projects background. As the role entails some international travel, some experience of doing business in foreign jurisdictions would prove useful, as would language skills, though this is by no means a prerequisite. This is a fairly stand alone role, and as such requires an individual who can take the lead on projects and be comfortable operating with senior management personnel.


ABOUT YOU

You will be a qualified solicitor with experience at a multinational company or law firm and who has experience in advising on and managing large, complex projects and transactions. Lawyers with a construction, engineering, projects, commercial or corporate background (either contentious or non-contentious) could all be of potential interest to this client. You'll probably have at least 4 years' pqe to have acquired the necessary technical skills, a confident and calm demeanour, and a genuine interest on being closely connected to the wider business.
