Job Details
Real Estate is at the heart of the London office of this US firm. The real estate lawyers at the firm have won numerous awards and London has consistent directories rankings.
There is a changing of the guard and this will present opportunities for a new incumbent(s). The London real estate practice has been a victim of its own success with only 5% of the London real estate work being imported from the US, so there is a huge opportunity to develop the transatlantic client base and the budget to do it. 30% to 40% of the London office revenues are derived from the US and this can be replicated with some active internal business development. The firm is known for its investment and hotels work. The US have a number of bank and private equity real estate clients which currently generate passive opportunities for London.
The London office is set up well for real estate and there is a degree of flexibility on charge out rates. There is an opportunity to shape the practice and lead the team with the support of real estate finance, tax and corporate real estate teams.
