Offshore Legal has been tasked with sourcing an experienced Operations manager for a major client in Bermuda. Reporting directly to the COO, the role will be varied and project driven (with a technology focus), specifically collaborating with the Client Services department (multiple jurisdictions) and other Directors as/when required. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Identify, develop and coordinate implementation of operational improvements in Client Services, driving efficiencies and improving the overall client experience 
  • Contribute towards the business as a whole in identifying and coordinating improvements in policies and procedures and any other service innovation changes that would enhance the client experience 
  • Build effective working relationships with stakeholders 
  • Leverage knowledge of ViewPoint software with an understanding of the business vision and priorities to develop and implement improved processes. These include leading the Entity Administrator workstreams, leading Client Services on-boarding, and supporting other workstreams as required 
  • Analyse improved business reporting from different IT solutions to identify and then implement process enhancements 
  • Work with Heads of Client Services (by jurisdiction) and designated Directors to monitor regulatory developments and update processes/workflows accordingly
  • Assess the deployment of initiatives to adjust solutions, promote adoption and quantify benefits

What you'll need:

  • 10+ years project management or change management experience with a significant technology component (preferably in an agile software development environment) in a professional firm environment 
  • Chartered Company secretarial status or relevant qualifications in Corporate and Trust Management would be an asset 
  • Experience with ViewPoint software preferred 
  • Experience deploying change in a very large organization required; 
  • Experience in company, trust, fund life‐cycle management and anti‐money laundering practices desirable  
  • Ability to work independently; able to successfully operate in areas of uncertainty and ambiguity; self-starter and quick learner; calm and efficient under pressure 
  • Strong communication skills and proven experience building strong interpersonal relationships 
  • Strong problem solving, risk management and negotiation skills 
  • Natural curiosity, especially about technology 
  • Experience creating trainings across a variety of modalities (virtual, ILT, e-learning,) would be an asset 
  • Be fully conversant and understand the authority levels of this role and those of all relevant stakeholders to ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures and regulations 
  • Excellent communication skills
