Senior Legal Counsel

Fantastic in house role to join FTSE 100 company and local success story, which requires a Legal Counsel to take on an important role for the UK & Ireland business. Based in Newcastle Upon Tyne with flexible working and an excellent benefits package.

Taking on a key role within the Commercial Legal team, you will be a qualified Solicitor with significant commercial legal experience. You will act as a legal business partner to the teams and will advise across sales initiatives including customer contracting and terms and conditions, data protection, customer disputes etc. as well as wider legal projects and initiatives as required. An element of cross border work is included as part of multi-jurisdictional matters and wider legal team initiatives.

The business will consider Solicitors from a Corporate or Commercial legal background and whilst a solid understanding of contract law in a technology context would be beneficial, it is not a prerequisite. It is likely that you will be a Solicitor with upwards of around 4 years PQE and will have spent your career to date with either a major commercial law firm or in house legal team.
