Legal Counsel

We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic lawyer to join our growing in house legal team. It’s an exciting time for us and we are currently experiencing rapid international growth which means there is a requirement for an additional on the ground legal resource.

Your main role will be to support the global business with lease/property based transactional work and provide general support to the Legal Director

We are based in London, but given the nature of our global business, we are responsible for advising across all our international offices.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for supporting  our managed business lines as well as providing general legal support to the Legal Director

This may include:

Property

•Leases/licences including back to back arrangements
•Break notices
•Deeds of variations
•Dilapidation settlements agreements
•Lease summaries/reports summaries
•Construction agreement e.g. FIDIC/JCT/AIAFIDIC/JCT/AIA

General

•Client and supplier agreements (including IMFAs)
•Regulatory compliance
•Data Protection
•Insurance
•Corporate governance, (minutes, board resolutions)
•Employment advice / HR support
•Mergers and acquisitions
•Legal team admin
•Ad-hoc legal support &NDAs

Job Description

Background & Experience:

Essential
•UK real estate/property estate/property law experience (preferably from private practice)
•Commercial law experience
•Qualified solicitor or barrister
•Minimum 1.5/2/3years PQE in-house or private practice

Desirable

•Non-legal work experience
•Construction experience
•International legal work experience
•Working in a small and independent legal team
•Experience supervising external lawyers
