Our law firm client has a long-standing presence in the technology, healthcare and pharma sectors and the firm has been kept exceptionally busy across all its transactional teams and especially within a corporate commercial department that has long focused on the start-up, scale up and small to mid-cap market.

The team are now looking for an additional commercial partner, likely with an existing network of contacts across the tech sector and who is comfortable undertaking the full suite of commercial work acting for data and IP-rich businesses.

Existing partners within this team are all highly regarded and ranked in the directories and, overall, the department has a loyal client base which continues to grow and prosper. It is important that you understand and enjoy the nature and culture of fast growth clients, the requirements they have of their external counsel and the level of advice required on a day-to-day basis.

The partners will consider a range of candidates; existing partners, and those on the cusp of partnership who are being frustrated by bottlenecks. This has been a great home for commercial lawyers who felt their current firm was moving away from these type of fast growth businesses and our client has the structures in place to ensure work can be done profitably at this end of the market.

With a great brand and with affable, committed partners this opportunity represents a really good, established platform for those looking to make a long-term lateral move which will allow them to continue to focus on the Tech market.
