FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY FOR EXPERIENCED PROJECTS, ENERGY OR CONSTRUCTION LAWYER TO JOIN A DYNAMIC, GROWING SEGMENT WITHIN A GLOBAL COMPANY

Cummins is a global power technology leader and corporation of complementary business units that design, manufacture, distribute and service a broad portfolio of power solutions. The company’s products range from diesel, natural gas, electric and hybrid powertrains and powertrain-related components. Headquartered in Columbus, Indiana, we are a team of more than 60,000 people worldwide serving customers in approximately 190 countries and territories through a network of more than 600 company-owned and independent distributor locations and approximately 7,400 dealer locations.   An award winning, Fortune 250 company, with revenue of c.$24bn in 2021, we have well developed plans for further profitable growth.

Due to the continuing growth and success of our New Power business (https://newpower.cummins.jobs/), which positions us at the forefront of low-carbon technologies, an exciting opportunity has arisen within our award-winning UK & Europe Legal team for a lawyer to lead legal support for our electrolyzer business segment.  The role will be diverse and carry wide-ranging, international responsibilities, including working closely with business leaders on transactions, projects, EPC contracts and also broader commercial and compliance work.

The position will suit a Projects, Energy or Construction lawyer with EPC experience.  You will have at least 6 years’ PQE gained in either a leading law firm or in-house.  This is a business-facing role and it is crucial that you possess sound commercial judgement, a “can do” attitude and the inter-personal skills to work with people from different cultural and professional backgrounds.   You will be a trusted business advisor and therefore it is imperative that you are credible, inspire confidence, have strong communication skills, make clear and well-reasoned decisions and are able to find creative solutions to complex legal problems.

This is a rare opportunity for an enthusiastic and pro-active lawyer to make their mark in a global leader which is also committed to diversity and corporate responsibility.  Forbes magazine recently ranked Cummins in the No. 4 spot on its prestigious “The Best Employers for Diversity 2022” list.  Cummins has also been a top-scoring company on both the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index and on the Disability Equality Index®.  It is important that you share and embrace our values.  In return, we can offer a competitive salary, benefits package and flexible working options.

Our culture believes in POWERING YOUR POTENTIAL. We provide global opportunities to develop your career, make your community a better place and work with today’s most innovative thinkers to solve the world’s toughest problems.  We believe in flexibility for you to explore your passions while making an impact through meaningful work within our inclusive workforce. That’s what #LifeAtCummins is all about.

For further information or to apply, please contact our exclusively retained consultants Sam Baker or Nick Creed at Baker Creed on 07879 406764 or email info@bakercreed.co.uk.  All direct or third party applications will be forwarded to Baker Creed for consideration.
