Our client is a listed retail company. Since listing, the company has grown exponentially in value and its premium brand, originally British, is much-loved, respected and enjoyed globally. With quality output as its foremost aim, the scale and complexity of the business are growing: we are now looking for an additional lawyer to join the stellar and close-knit legal team.

Reporting to the Head of Legal & Company Secretary, you will have a broad commercial contracts remit with an increasingly international scope: the business currently has a market leading presence in over 70 countries worldwide.

Amongst other matters, the remit will include:

  • commercial contracting (eg. supply, distribution, agency);
  • strategic initiatives across the business;
  • advising on marketing, live events, sponsorship, e-commerce and branding matters; and
  • supporting the running of the IP portfolio and ESG initiatives.

We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic and business friendly lawyer, a self-starter who despite being relatively junior, is ready to make an impact and mix with the best! You should have robust private practice training and some in-house experience (eg. via a client secondment) will be very useful. In every case you must have some demonstrable commercial contracts experience and be a keen learner across new areas.
