In House Counsel

Due to continued growth, our client are seeking an experienced Lawyer with 2+ PQE to join their In- House Commercial Property Team in East Anglia.

You will support the Commercial Property Team in their development while effectively and independently managing with minimal supervision, a caseload of site purchase/development working alongside other commercial property and development matters.

Predominantly matters will include purchases of bare land for development which includes drafting and negotiating complex conditional contracts, development agreements, transfers of part, completing due diligence on bare land for development and negotiating and entering into ancillary documents such as overage deeds, option agreements, pre-emption agreements and deeds of easement etc.

You will be expected to manage, train and support more junior members of the team including support staff and therefore you should have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels.

The successful candidate must have proven experience in managing a caseload of development work independently and handling a varied commercial property workload generally. Ideally you will have experience or knowledge of the social housing sector although this is not essential.
