Our client is looking for a junior level lawyer with commercial contracting experience, preferably gained in a technology rich environment. This individual will provide transaction support for international roaming discount arrangements, the purchase, licensing and support of digital (IT and data) platforms, the sale of B2B and IoT products, device delivering advice and transaction support in a wide range of disciplines (e.g. technology, IP and data protection).
Responsibilities and requirements include:
- Negotiating, drafting and providing ongoing support for a wide range of technology, IT, data, handset, mobile services, roaming and content related agreements.
- Supporting the brands consultancy business including negotiating and drafting agreements and providing ongoing legal support.
- Objective analysis of risks with ability and confidence to provide solutions quickly to satisfy legal and business requirements.
- Establishing strong working relationships with the business units and legal counsel in business units
- Ensuring adherence to corporate governance.
Experience, Skills and Attitude
You will need experience with a large City law firm / large regional firm.
You will need to be comfortable working in an international business, with a track record as a good project manager, with a “can-do” attitude, who can influence colleagues and see projects through to closure in a timely manner. Skills include:
- Good influencer with excellent technical legal and drafting skills.
- Constructive and consultative team player, with an ability to brief.
- Proactive and practical and focus on solutions.
- Flexibility and ability to handle change.
- Good planning, multi-tasking, organisational and communication skills.
- Commitment to professionalism, with exceptional attention to detail and quality.
