Financial Regulatory Associate (Non-Contentious) - NQ+, London

New - our client is a leading city firm with a highly respected financial regulatory and market practice looking to add an ambitious Financial Regulatory Associate (non-contentious) to their growing team. The ideal NQ will have a minimum of 6 months experience and have trained with a recognised regional or city firm gaining experience in non-contentious financial regulatory matters. You can expect to advise banks, (re)insurers, insurance distributors, asset managers, lenders, and fin-tech businesses on the most complex, challenging and commercially sensitive regulatory issues they may face.

The successful individual will advise on EU Directives and Regulations that affect financial services institutions, and the Rules and Regulations of the FCA and the PRA.

Recent advice has included: ​

  • CRD IV, EMIR, PSD2, Payment Services Regulations, e-money legislation, pre-paid products, MiFID II, Market Abuse and Insider Dealing requirements and investigations from the FCA.


We would like to speak with an articulate and confident communicator who is able to establish, and maintain, strong and enduring relationships with leading financial institutions and externals stakeholders including: regulators, policy makers, and influential members of the banking and financial services community. This is an opportunity to take an role in business development initiatives and marketing activity.

You will have some knowledge of the FCA handbook, rules and guidelines and be able to apply this knowledge to a commercial context in order to provide valuable and straight-forward advice to your end-client which may include top-tier financial institutions, Directors and Bankers.
