Fee-earner - MIB Team - Hybrid working

Our client is a leading Personal Injury law firm based in West Yorkshire. They are looking to hire a Fee-earner to join their MIB Team.

The Role:

You will manage a case-load of MIB Untraced and MIB Uninsured Fast Track cases;
The Uninsured cases will consist of a mixture of pre-litigation and part 7 post litigation files;
All cases in the portfolio will be a valued between £1,000 and £25,000;
You will also assist with complex, unusual injuries and client complaint files within the team;
On a daily basis, you will advise clients of the firm on their cases, assisting them from inception to conclusion;
You may handle a variety of cases although the team will consider levels of experience and business needs when allocating cases;
At all times you will ensure the highest levels of client care are followed and provide a professional and high quality claims handling service to our clients; and
Generate fee income and contribute to the overall financial success of the department and wider firm.

The Person:
You will ideally have previous experience of managing your own caseload of litigated Personal Injury claims between £1,000 and £25,000;
You will also have a strong working knowledge of the Civil Procedure rules and litigation processes;
You will also have a good working knowledge of the Solicitors Code of Conduct;
You will be committed to the principles of client care;
Able to work independently but also as part of a team;
Being a Solicitor or Legal Executive is desirable but not essential;
Excellent working knowledge and technical understanding of this field of law;
Competent using a case management system and the main Microsoft office packages;
Excellent attention to detail at all times;
Excellent organisation skills and able to work to often tight deadlines; and
Excellent negotiation skills and a determination to secure the best outcome for your client.
