URGENT - Barrister (5+ PQE), British Virgin Islands

Leading offshore law firm seeks aspiring barrister with 5yrs+ call developed with a top tier Commercial / Chancery Chambers for its busy BVI office. The ideal candidate will be extremely bright, motivated and have developed experience with regards corporate litigation, with particular focus on shareholder and boardroom disputes, contested takeovers, contentious and non-contentious solvent and insolvent corporate restructuring and complex insolvency matters. 

The team is both vibrant and collegiate, led by an approachable and supportive group of partners which will see the new hire benefit from ongoing mentoring and development while getting their hands on matters from an early stage, taking responsibility for multiple files and dealing directly with clients and onshore counsel. 

Ideally applicants will possess strong advocacy skills had have some experience of offshore disputes as well as an appreciation of what life is like working/living in the Caribbean, particularly on a smaller island such as the BVI. It is very important to the team that the successful candidate is prepared to make a long term commitment to working offshore and in return will benefit from a genuine career path and attractive remuneration package.
