3-8 PQE Lawyer | Trading Documentation | Derivatives | Global crypto trading firm

MLA are working with a global, fast-growing yet established crypto trading firm. The legal team from Goldman Sachs, Citadel, Clifford Chance, and Jones Day, among others, are looking to hire a mid/senior-level financial services lawyer (c. 3-8 PQE) to support predominantly on trading documentation (whilst this is the focus of the opportunity, given the fluidity and growth of the team, the role is likely to have a lot of breadth across wider matters covered by Legal and Compliance).

The Role:

Working across Asia, Europe and the US, responsibilities include:

• Drafting and negotiating a variety of agreements (e.g. OTC trading agreements/ISDAs, investment agreements, market making agreements).
• Supporting and advising on regulatory matters and licensing in multiple regions.
• Liaising with external counsel on specialised legal matters.
• Providing general support to the legal and compliance team.

Candidate Profile:

• Strong academic background and law firm training;
• UK qualified (or equivalent EU qualification);
• Good understanding of securities and derivatives law;
• Experience working across international markets;
• Excellent negotiation and project management skills; and
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
