Head of Legal

Exciting opportunity for a Head of Legal to join a leading blue-chip business with revenues in excess of £700m in the UK.  Hybrid working with 3 days in the office in the East Midlands.

Arbuthnot Yon are working exclusively with a well-known UK based business which forms part of a global listed group.  The business is going through an exciting period of growth and change that require leadership support from the newly appointed Head of Legal. 

Forming part of the leadership team and reporting into the MD and the European General Counsel, you will work closely with the MD and the leadership team and have overall responsibility for the legal function in the UK.  This will involve you advising on high-value complex customer contracts as well as advising on legal risk across all areas of the business including Group projects and company secretarial areas as well as managing a small team.

This business is well known and a leader in its sector and has an impressive portfolio of blue-chip clients. You will support the business with legal projects across large scale complex commercial agreements, group projects, property, employment, litigation, risk management and compliance areas.  

We are keen to hear from Senior Lawyers who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and love what they do!  Due to the varied nature of this business, you will thrive on working across different legal areas and you will enjoy having both a strategic and operational role.   

You will be at least 8 years PQE currently working in-house in as a senior lawyer with experience gained in complex high value contracts plus experience gained in any of the broader areas outlined would be a bonus.

This position is based in Northamptonshire.  The business is adopting a hybrid working model and you will be required to work in the office 3 days per week.
