In-house Lawyer (IP and commercial)

IP lawyer or Commercial Lawyer with IP experience sought for an in-house role where you will work on cutting edge R&D projects and collaborations, as well as advising the business in relation to general commercial and IP matters.

Arbuthnot Yon are working exclusively with cutting edge-based business which is one of the largest employers in the Midlands.  A new opportunity has arisen for an IP lawyer or a commercial lawyer with some IP experience to support the business with R&D projects and collaborations as well as general commercial and IP legal advice.  This position is based in the West Midlands and can be undertaken on a hybrid basis.  

You will work within an established experienced team and advise and lead on commercial projects involving advising on commercial & IP contracts relating to commercial projects, research and development and collaborations.  Any experience of dealing with IP and/or R&D agreements would be beneficial.  

This is a great first time in-house move to join a leading organisation where you will be supported and guided by more experienced lawyers. This position would suit an IP lawyer seeking an in-house move or a commercial lawyer who is keen to develop their IP skills and experience.   

The office culture is friendly and relaxed, and a good work life balance is enjoyed by the legal team.   You will have lots of interaction across the legal team and wider business. 

This position would be suited to a lawyer with at least 3 years’ experience gained in IP and/or commercial contracts.  We are also keen to hear from more experienced lawyers who feel that this role would be a good fit!
