Senior Paralegal / NQ Lawyer, Major European Insurer

Our client is a European insurance giant with considerable emphasis on general insurance underwriting and distribution, on technology and cyber insurance and on white labelling insurance products.  Their General Counsel, brought in to lend structure to the Legal Department and bring in more lawyers, is involved in a procurement project pursuant to a regulatory requirement to retain all material third party contracts and their key clauses on a searchable basis.  Having procured the required database and AI to interrogate the system, they have a number of procurement department people, the GC and several others working on the project.  They now require a junior (NQ) lawyer or experienced Paralegal to take on a role initially involving review and analysis of contracts to determine their key clauses, their duration and termination processes and include them in the system, advising tech specialists on what the AI should be looking for in generating key clause data on a search.   The intention behind the hire is twofold; first, to ensure they have someone in the middle of the project from the legal side who can move things forward through focusing 100% on the matter and, secondly, because the GC has always focused on bringing his employees on in their careers.  Thus, they are looking to fill a permanent role whereby, after the project begins to take up less time, this individual would be working across broader contract drafting and negotiation work across technology, procurement and commercial law.
