Job Details
Our client is a leading Emirati hotel developer with a portfolio of 15 or so hotels around the MENA region (including Qatar itself and Egypt) as well as the USA. Having purchased or constructed hotel premises in corporate structure transactions, their five strong Legal Department cover a heavily transactional workload. With the approach of the Qatar World Cup and growing interest in the region, this is an exceptionally busy time during which the business in involved in a range of complex corporate structure construction and development projects and commercial arrangements with hotel operators.
Working closely with the CEO, Chairman and with direct reports from the five lawyers in the team, you will report to the CEO and take personal responsibility for all transactions, contentious matters and documentation and advice integral to the running of the business.
With accommodation and allowances provided, a good, tax free package and excellent prospects formed through the GC level strategic and real estate heavy transactional experience putting the relevant candidate in a good position for future GC roles in the region or their home jurisdiction.
A lawyer with a minimum of 10 years’ PQE gained in a corporate real estate or real estate development context, ideally with exposure to development projects involving hotels or villas, you will be a capable man-manager with a strong technical pedigree in real estate or associated corporate work.
