Job Title: Supervising Lawyer (FSDI)

I am currently representing an incredible opportunity with a legal top 200 firm to join their highly repudiated litigation and dispute resolution team. My client is a leading full-service firm with international renown, who after continued growth and success is looking to recruit a supervisor in the Financial Services Disputes and Investigations team.
 
Working on a large and fast-paced project for a key client, your role as an FSDI supervisor will be pivotal in the day-to-day management of a small team of junior fee earners and dealing with more complex cases. You will be directly responsible for a team of 4-6 paralegals, acting as a point of reference and expertise as your team takes claims through civil court proceedings or settlement. As a result, the role represents a unique opportunity to run a team without managing your own caseload- a testament to the high volume of the work and the high quality that will be expected from you and your colleagues.
 
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years PQE, have run at least 10 cases from issue to small or fast track trial, and have demonstrable litigation experience as well as a deep and detailed understanding of the CPR. The nature of the role involves defendant financial litigation, but my client is willing to consider candidates from both a PI and civil litigation background. You will have previous experience of line management and supervision: attention to detail, a proven track record of contributing towards a team’s improvement, and an empathetic, responsive approach is essential for a candidate to succeed in this role effectively.
 
My client is a modern, progressive law firm, with offices based across the UK, meaning this opportunity is flexible in its geographic location. There is a great agile working arrangement, with an aim to tie successful candidates to their closest office- you will be expected to travel to this office at least once a week. This role is offered on a 12- month fixed term basis with view to extend dependent on performance.
