Senior Counsel, Not-for-Profit, Remote Working

This not-for-profit organisation works with staff, supporters and volunteers to protect and preserve war-related heritage around the world.

The Opportunity

The organisation now has a need for a lawyer to join the team and work across a wide range of matters, both relating to the funding for the organisation and the ongoing running of the organisation.You will lead on contractual negotiations (often involving other jurisdictions) as well as support and provide advice generally on property, events, IP, marketing, media, dispute resolution, tech and data privacy. You will provide guidance and advice on relevant compliance matters as well as risk and regulatory regimes. 

You will also work closely with the General Counsel in providing support to the rest of the legal team, deputising when needed.

About You

The opportunity will best suit an individual with a keen interest and desire to work with a highly principled and worthy organisation. Strong  commercial contracts experience is required, as is the ability to lead and advice a diverse organisation on a wide range of matters. Any not-for-profit, corporate governance or regulatory experience would be beneficial. The role would be best suited to a lawyer with a broad in-house background who has a keen interest in working professionally in the not-for-profit sector.
