Our client is a leading firm, headquartered in London, with a strong and growing presence across Europe, Middle East and Asia.

London is the largest office and has maintained steady growth over the past 5 years with very healthy financials. They have a sector driven approach, focussing on the Energy & Natural Resources, Technology, Financial Services and Maritime sectors. Throughout the pandemic they have focussed on delivering the best service possible to their clients, while ensuring employee satisfaction is met at all levels.

POSITION

Following strong deal flow and a healthy pipeline going forward, the firm’s Corporate group are looking to grow with the addition of two Associates; one junior and one mid level associate.

While sitting as part of the Corporate group, you will have a lot of overlap with the Energy & Natural Resources group. The group covers transactional work across conventional and renewable energy, oil, gas, LNG and mining. You will also have the opportunity to work on corporate transactions in other areas such as technology, real estate, media and maritime.

Most recently the group have worked on large private equity led acquisitions (many within the renewable energy/energy transition sectors), joint ventures within the renewables space, disposals of large renewable energy assets across Europe and capital markets transactions for mining organisations.

CANDIDATE

The firm are looking for at least two Associates - one between NQ-2 PQE and another 3-5 PQE. The successful candidate is likely to be currently working within the Corporate or transactional energy team of a leading law firm or as an inhouse lawyer with a leading corporation.

Ideally you will experience across a range of corporate transactions including; M&A (either public or private), Joint Ventures, Capital Markets. Experience of project development/commercial energy work is something that the firm would be look at positively.
