Senior Legal Counsel (12 months fixed term contract) - Remote
A senior commercial solicitor with somewhere between 5 and 10 years PQE is required by a successful tech company which has taken a market-leading approach in responding to the new ways that people want to work and balance between home and office. This is a 12 month fixed term contract opportunity to cover a senior legal counsel's maternity leave and as such the ideal start will be March 2022. Candidates can work from the Cheshire office or from home - whatever works best for you and the way you want to balance your work/home life.
This is a large in-house team with a strong UK presence and international too, and the company is able to set you up completely remotely if required. Notably, there are some great new additions to the company's working policy - such as the ability to work from a place which isn't your usual home (extended work-holiday anyone?) for 2 months per year.
The type of legal experience which would be useful for a role like this is commercial contracts, data protection and compliance. Any experience of commercial litigation and particularly IP litigation would be a bonus. The work is likely to be complex and will require a confident and commercial individual to remain a close advisor to internal stakeholders who often want speedy legal advice on new agreements.
Alongside a basic salary of between £70,000 and £80,000, other benefits include an excellent maternity/paternity policy and bonus scheme (which has been paid out during the last 12 months).
