The Firm

The Role

The firm is seeking an Intellectual Property Partner to join their modern, and growing Leeds City centre office.

You will work closely with the other Partners within the corporate commercial department, and more generally across the firm, to drive the business forwards. You will work as part of a driven and commercially successful leadership team.

You will deal with a broad client base covering many industry sectors, the sheer level of variety will make for an interesting caseload. The firm are often acting on large Commercial, Corporate matters working with Technology, Media, Sports, Financial and FTSE 250 companies.

You will work on a range of contentious matters to include; IP rights, designs, trademark disputes and copyright disputes work.

This role comes with strong prospects to progress, in line with the growth agenda.

Requirements

  • You will be an Intellectual Property Solicitor with at least 8 years + PQE
  • The ability to confidentially manage your own caseload of high calibre work and clients
  • You will have good commercial experience
  • You will have first-class communication, outstanding business development skills and an entrepreneurial flair
  • Experience of overseeing a team is desirable, however not essential
  • A transferable client base or regional contacts is highly advantageous

Remuneration

  • Salary is negotiable depending on your level of experience, plus an excellent benefits package and a lucrative bonus structure
