As with many of the leading offshore law firms in Cayman, a vibrant disputes practice lies at the very heart of our clients offering and will continue to be a significant revenue driver for the firm post Covid. Instructed on a breadth of interesting work spanning insolvency, banking litigation, fraud & asset tracing, fund disputes, injunctive remedies, shareholder litigation, trust disputes, insurance & reinsurance and regulatory disputes, their litigation team is recognised as possessing a group of lawyers who are both technically excellent and commercially aware, while also home to one of the strongest advocacy units of any firm in the Caribbean.
Applications are therefore encouraged from England & Wales qualified barristers and solicitors (ideally those with solid advocacy experience) that have a strong professional pedigree and superb academic profile. Ideally with 5-6yrs post qualified experience you will be a highly efficient communicator and have developed deep, practical experience across a range of disputes work. Capable of working autonomously when required, the ideal candidate will be looking to take on increased responsibility for matters as their career develops. More senior applicants should also make themselves known, as there is some flexibility on the entry point for this hire while first rate Australian and New Zealand qualified litigators are also welcome to apply.
In return for your effort and commitment, you will be afforded every opportunity to progress your career under the guidance of a very approachable senior leadership team while benefitting from a tailored professional development program and attractive tax free financial package. Full relocation assistance is also offered.
For more information on this particular opportunity and other positions that may be open to you across the Caribbean and alternative offshore jurisdictions, please send your CV and supporting information in confidence to James O’Brien (james@agnewobrien.com) or apply via the link below.
