Head of Corporate & Commercial – Partner or SA Level, No Following Required

A new opportunity has arisen at a boutique law firm to replace the Corporate Commercial partner who is moving in-house. Plenty of work is being referred into the department.

My client is an established, successful London boutique which has strength in real estate, technology, and overseas investor work. They predominantly act for SMEs and high net worth individuals. 

Their busy corporate department is currently one partner and two associates, and with the partner moving in-house there is an urgent requirement for an experienced lawyer to take their place and lead the team. 

The firm will of course be prioritising client retention so candidates should have natural business development skills although there is enough work being referred internally that a large following is not required. 

Work will involve private M&A, often with real estate elements, investment and securities, business acquisitions, reorganisations etc as well as the various general commercial advice that such clients require. 

Experience of both corporate and commercial work is essential, and candidates are likely to have had experience in smaller or mid-sized law firms rather than the top 20.
