Commercial Lawyer

A commercial lawyer is offered an excellent opportunity to join a Legal 500 tier 1 ranked commercial team at this international practice in Birmingham, ranked as one of the top 20 practices in the UK.

The firm operates globally with offices throughout the UK, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Americas. The commercial team in Birmingham undertake some of the most complex, challenging, and high calibre commercial work for local, national, and international clients across a range of sectors including transport, engineering, automotive, technology, real estate, energy and utilities, and financial services.

The successful commercial lawyer joining this commercial team in Birmingham will undertake a broad range of commercial contracts matters which will include:
 

• Rail
• Agency and distribution agreements
• Outsourcing
• Supply chain and logistics
• Intellectual property
• Service agreements
• Consumer
• Facilities management
• Technology
• Strategic and operational agreements
• Privacy and data
• Financial services
• Cyber

This position is ideally suited to a commercial lawyers at the Associate or Senior Associate level between three and seven years' PQE. As a senior lawyer in this team, you will be involved in the supervision and management of more junior colleagues alongside your fee earning responsibilities.

Commercial lawyers applying for this position should be able to display:
 

• Excellent technical knowledge and commercial acumen
• Strong communication skills
• Strong drafting, negotiating and analytical skills
• Experience in supervising more junior lawyers
• Experience in business development and client relationship management
