In-house Legal Counsel - UK Asset Management Firm - Funds Lawyer - Permanent

My client, a leading asset manager, is looking for a junior lawyer to join their London legal team on a permanent basis. Day-to-day tasks will include:

• Closely working with other members of the Legal, Risk and Compliance teams on matters relating to:
• The mutual fund franchise of the company;
• Drafting and negotiating contracts pertaining to the company’s service providers, including IMAs and distribution agreements;
• General legal/regulatory matters relating to the company’s business operations.

• Liaising with external counsel and internal departments;
• Advisory and compliance matters regarding the asset manager’s business dealings.

About you:

• You should be a UK qualified lawyer and be 2+ PQE, having trained at a top UK or US law firm;
• Strong working knowledge of UCITS, AIFMD and MiFID is required;
• Experience with cross-border regulation;
• In-house financial legal experience is ideal.
