A fast-growing payments institution with offices in London, and in Kent, is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced commercial lawyer to join the Legal Department.


THE ROLE
* You will be supporting the business sales and procurement functions, drafting and reviewing a broad range of commercial agreements including merchant services agreement, NDA's, terms and conditions and vendor agreements;
* Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will assist in the contract management process, contract review, signature and filing in accordance with the company's policy and internal procedures;
* You will assist the legal team in the development of training materials, and provide training to internal stakeholders on relevant legal topics and best practices;
* Prepare memos, reports, conduct legal research, and perform administrative tasks whenever necessary; and
* you will undertake such other duties from time to time as requested by the Chief Legal Officer and the Head of Legal, as are commensurate with the job title and function of the Commercial Lawyer


ABOUT YOU
You will have a minimum of 3 years PQE in a financial institution or law firm, and knowledge of the payments industry being preferred. Candidates with a general commercial or OT background and an interest in moving to the fintech sector are strongly encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will provide exceptional support to the business, working closely with the legal team to streamline processes, and ensure that company procedures are followed at all times in relation to contracts.
Managing large volumes of documents, deals, document review/proofreading and managing and collating know-how resources is an essential part of the role.
To be considered for this role, you must possess excellent academics, a law degree from a recognised university, and you must have gained significant and relevant experience from a well-known law firm or financial institution in the UK.
You must have exemplary IT and organisational skills, attention to detail and spelling.
The company supports working from home, and has implemented a work from home policy. The successful candidate is expected to work 2-3 days a week in one of our offices, and the remainder at home if desired. The Offices are in Central London and North Kent.
