SENIOR DISPUTES PSL - SILVER CIRCLE

Our client is looking to recruit a senior knowledge lawyer to join its successful team on a 3, 4 or 5 day week basis. The role will have a particular focus on raising the practice's profile by providing thought leadership and commentary on trends and policy issues. The role will also include internal facing aspects, such as training and education, knowledge management and dealing with fee earner queries.

Their litigation practice consists of 18 partners, seven senior counsel, 48 solicitors, one costs lawyer, one senior knowledge lawyer, 10 trainee solicitors and seven paralegals and one knowledge & research officer.

The practice undertakes a broad range of litigation and arbitration work, including financial services and regulatory issues and investigations, corporate and commercial disputes, trust and probate litigation, major construction disputes, fraud, corporate crime and cross border disputes, and real estate litigation. Our contentious team works closely with our non-contentious specialists enabling us to provide a deep understanding of our clients' financial business and the relevant markets.

You will work with the practice's existing senior knowledge lawyer for the practice and report formally to the litigation practice head. You will also work with the department's business development manager. You will be involved in a broad range of duties, including:

• Profile raising
• identifying topics of interest to clients and the wider business community and press;
• contributing, and co-ordinating the contribution by others, to;
• client ebulletins, as well as more detailed reports and briefings;
• articles in the legal and industry press;
• comment in the legal and mainstream press with a quick turnaround to comply with journalists' deadlines;
• responses to public consultations; and
• attending and speaking at litigation focused events.

Business development

• contributing, and co-ordinating the contribution by others to client mailings, client seminars and specific education for client groupings and specific clients;
• working with the marketing department to produce news updates, client-focused briefings and updates on specific news items, including identifying and contributing content;
• assisting with the development and delivery of targeted market propositions and initiatives ; and
• developing relationships with potential clients and perform relationship management role where appropriate.
