Banking Solicitor (0-4 PQE) - Leeds

Your new company

This firm's Banking & Governance team is led by a market renowned partner for their expertise particularly in relation to property related finance and corporate and commercial work. The team also works very closely with a number of housing associations and local authorities and does a wide variety of work across multiple departments. Due to an influx of further instructions and an ambition to grow further within the market, the firm are actively looking for a solicitor to join the team to be based out its Leeds office.

Your new role

You will be working with a partner who is renowned nationally for excellent client service. You will be heavily involved in offering advice to various borrowers. As well as traditional banking work, you will also come across work which overlaps with various other areas of law, including regulation and charity law just to name some. As well as being responsible for the day to day running of transactions, you will also be heavily involved in business development and in sharing knowledge with other fee earners within the team / assisting others where required.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have successfully completed a training contact / alternative qualifying route and will either have previous experience / be able to demonstrate a particular interest in banking and finance legal matters. The ideal candidate will be a solicitor with general banking / capital markets transactions experience. Excellent academics are essential, including a minimum of a 2:1 at degree level along with strong A levels. In addition, the successful candidate will be someone who is well organised, enthusiastic and capable of working both on their own initiative and collaboratively as part of a wider team.
