An employment lawyer is offered an excellent opportunity to join a legal 500 tier 1 ranked employment team at this leading international practice in Birmingham. The firm ranks as one of the top 20 in the UK, maintaining an outstanding reputation domestically and internationally.

The employment team in Birmingham act for clients throughout the UK and internationally. Clients are largely major corporates and FTSE listed business across various sectors including Energy, Technology, Financial Services, Media and Telecoms, Health and Life Sciences, and Industrials.

The successful employment lawyer joining this highly regarded employment team in Birmingham will act on a broad range of complex, challenging, high-calibre and high value employment matters, advising on:
 

• Contracts and policies
• Business reorganisations
• Settlement agreements
• Disciplinary and grievance procedures
• Performance management
• Sickness and absence management
• TUPE
• Corporate support
• Changing terms and conditions
• Outsourcing projects across multiple jurisdictions

This position is ideally suited to solicitors / associates between three and five years’ PQE. Candidates applying for this position should be able to display:
 

• A strong academic background
• Training and post-qualified experience in employment law gained with a reputable national or regional practice
• Strong technical knowledge and commercial acumen
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Experience in business development and client relationship management
