GLOBAL SENIOR LEGAL COUNSEL - HIGH GROWTH TECH
An innovative technology company is hiring a Senior Legal Counsel to help build out the legal function and impact further business growth. Their clever technology platform helps well known UK brands and Fortune 500 companies to test new ideas and content before it is produced. This is a newly created and varied legal position supporting across a range of complex commercial, corporate, IP, and data protection matters.
Reporting to the General Counsel, you will be given autonomy over your remit and assist the development of the legal function. It will be a broad commercial role and you will predominately work with the company's sales team across several international territories. You will be drafting and negotiating legal documentation including Terms of Use, MSAs, SoWs and Data Processing Agreements, consultancy agreements and various partnership agreements. You will need to ensure you are balancing legal risks with commercial and operational needs of the business when making decisions.
You must be a UK qualified lawyer who is ideally 5-8 years PQE. To be considered for this position you must have prior in-house legal experience or have worked in private practice with in-house secondment experience. Ideally you will have experience in the technology sector but this is not a prerequisite. This is an autonomous role for a highly organised individual who possesses strong commercial acumen and the ability to build effective relationships. Working at a growing global technology business means you may need to travel occasionally to Europe/US to oversee operations and meet with the other functions of the business.
