Employment Solicitor  - Norwich/Remote Working

Non contentious caseload for retained commercial clients


This role genuinely offers something different from the usual standard fee earner positions that come up within private practice firms and I am eager to speak to potential candidates to explain these innovative plans and this unique opportunity in more detail.

Working with retained commercial clients you will work closely with business owners and HR teams to help them develop and manage the HR side of the business and provide an in house legal service to them.

The successful candidate for this position  is likely to be able to demonstrate a minimum of 2 years’ experience in dealing with employment law matters including employment contracts, employment policies, employee handbooks, redundancy procedures, disciplinary procedures, and general HR support.  

Most of the work will be non contentious but there may be times where advice and support is needed when employment disputes arise. Where this is the case there will be assistance from an experienced head of department within the firm.

Due to the type of role it is and the contact you will have with regular and retained clients of the firm you must be able to build and maintain strong relationships and be professional, confident, friendly and personable in your approach to work.

This role may be of particular interest to those with an in house  background looking to move back into private practice in order to progress their careers or alternatively those in private practice that are looking for something different to the usual time recording target driven fee earning roles that come up.

The salary for this role will be dependent on experience but will be very competitive and as part of a good overall package within a modern and forward thinking firm who share in their success with their staff. The firm envisages excellent career progression prospects for the successful candidate within one of the strongest employment law teams in East Anglia. Remote working opportunities will be available as part of the role.
