Family Law Solicitor

My client, a leading regional law firm, is looking to recruit a Family Solicitor to join their team in Mansfield. This firm has an excellent reputation for the private client services that they provide to their clients and offers a friendly yet professional working environment to the successful candidate.

The Role

• In this role you will advise clients of the firm on mainly private client matters, although at times you may need to assist with other non-private matters;
• Meeting with clients of the firm and advising them on a range of private family law matters from inception to conclusion;
• Representing clients at legal meetings, mediations and representation at court when required;
• Drafting all necessary legal documentation and negotiating on behalf of your client;
• Liaising with third party intermediaries such as barristers to help reach a solution for your client;
• Utilising the case management system to ensure that your client's case is tracked and managed correctly and following billing procedures when necessary; and
• Performing legal research duties when necessary and ensuring that you are up to date with the most recent and relevant caselaw and legislation.

The Person

Ideally you will have previous experience as a Family Law Solicitor (or have similar previous experience) and have previously undertaken a predominantly private client caseload; You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be committed to providing the highest level of client care at all times; You will be a professional candidate and have excellent negotiation, drafting and communication/advocacy skills; You will be able to work independently and as part of a team; You will be committed to developing yourself professionally and be willing to attend business development and marketing events on behalf of the firm too.
