Possessing what is one of the most impressive offerings of any offshore law firm in Asia, our clients Hong Kong office is looking to make a strategic hire into its disputes group at the senior level. Either an established Partner or aspiring, stand-out Senior Associate, the firm will consider applicants already on the ground in Hong Kong or those looking to relocate from overseas.
A commonwealth qualified barrister or solicitor, you will ideally possess a range of big ticket commercial litigation and insolvency / restructuring experience developed at a recognised onshore / offshore practice and be comfortable acting on matters spanning shareholder and board disputes, valuation disputes arising from major M&A transactions; contentious and non-contentious insolvency, solvent and insolvent liquidations, major restructurings, other distressed entity work, court-supervised corporate matters, security enforcement, judgment/award enforcement, contentious private client work, investment funds disputes and general advisory work.
Previous offshore experience and Chinese language abilities would be ideal, but neither is essential. With work flooding through the door, the immediate hire of the right pair of hands is imperative, so only those ready and willing to make the move and commit long-term to a career in HK/Asia need make themselves known.
This is a rare and compelling opportunity to build a profitable practice from scratch, so would suit an individual who is both a technically excellent lawyer, able to run his/her own matters independently, while also a dab hand at handling client relationships and winning new work.
