Our client's Sustainable Finance & Investment group provides the best-in-market support to the firm's financial institutions clients as they navigate this rapidly evolving sector. The practice delivers innovative, efficient and scalable solutions to the challenges facing the sustainable finance economy and is focused on creating strong, strategic partnerships and collaborations to drive change, develop the market and mobilise capital.
The group has a long history of collaborating with clients on transactions that promote good governance and a positive social and environmental impact, including several market firsts. The team advises the firm's financial institutions clients on a spectrum of sustainable finance and investment products including blended finance and alternative structures, social and development bonds, green/blue finance, financial inclusion products, sustainability-linked loans and bonds, green infrastructure transactions and gender lens investing.
The firm's Sustainable Finance & Investment group does more than advise on the law. The practice covers every aspect of the relationship between the providers and the users of financial and risk-mitigation products. A key part of the group's service is the analysis and development of innovative, efficient and scalable solutions to overcome the challenges facing the impact economy.
The Senior role is to:
- Support the development, implementation and communication of the strategy for Sustainable Finance and Investment working closely with the wider financial institutions and insurance sector, the ESG Core Group, other Knowledge Lawyers and key internal stakeholders.
- Identify key sustainable finance and investing issues relevant to clients across the risk and return spectrum including developing, and disseminating, knowledge resources and materials
- Develop training programmes on sustainable finance and investing issues for lawyers across relevant practice groups
- Develop a knowledge sharing culture around sustainable finance and ESG issues among lawyers.
