We are recruiting for a Commercial Solicitor for one of the leading Commercial teams in Manchester. If there were such a thing as a commercial contracts Premier League, this team would right at the top of the table.

Our client is a true blue chip legal practice, with an extensive national profile allied to deep local roots. Over the course of the past few years it has broadened its reach to one with much more of a global profile albeit without compromising on the need to have deep local roots.

The team boasts an enviable client roster of household names together with substantial, highly complex and high profile projects, domestic and international.

The senior lawyers in the commercial group are leaders in their respective fields and they provide incredible support, training and development to junior lawyers in the team together with the opportunity to explore a range of secondment opportunities that have both developed their people for internal progression as well as to bolster their profiles for moves in house.

Their sector experience is vast and is mirrored by the level of work ranging from outsourcing, supply, distributions and agency agreements as well as large scale technology agreements. They have a strong presence both with private sector clients as well as the public sector including national government departments. In the case of this role this leans more towards larger household named clients as opposed to the public sector.

To meet the ongoing demands of the team our client is looking at recruiting an additional commercial solicitor though they would be open to higher levels of PQE. Based on the current team structure they anticipate a lawyer with around 0-3 PQE. The truth is that they envisage the need more generally to grow to ensure the team is adequately resourced and balanced so in short, if you feel you have the experience and would have an interest in the firm, there is a good chance they will want to talk to you.

The team have had good experience of both nurturing talent within as well as recruiting externally which includes those looking back in from in house so if you have more of an in house background that should not preclude enquiry.
