Legal Counsel (3-6 PQE), PE/RE Direct Transactions & Funds - Prominent Family Office

Our client is an established and prominent Family Office involved in a broad array of investments, typically in private equity, real estate and alternatives, as well as in classic long-only funds, primarily on the equities side.  The business now seeks a Legal Counsel with a minimum of 3-6 years’ post-qualified experience in direct transactions in private equity or corporate structure real estate, in fund launch or across both areas. 

The successful candidate will enjoy a varied diet of work across fund structuring, transactional private equity, real estate and venture capital work as well as documentation to include NDAs, powers of attorney, loan agreements and facilities and property management agreements.  You will also be involved in the process of on-boarding third party suppliers and preparing funds in terms of trading arrangements (ISDAs, repo, terms of business, fund administration, custody and trustco terms).  There are a variety of key internal projects, whether structural, regulatory, forward planning or governance, which the successful candidate will lead from the legal side.

A highly professional multi-disciplinary investment team environment, competitive compensation and bonus scheme and a highly varied and interesting workload will be provided in return.  Candidates are likely to have significant experience (guideline 3-6PQE) working for UHNWI or family office clients in either corporate, funds or corporate real estate departments at law firms or in-house with a FO, MFO or a significant wealth manager or alternatives fund, ideally with a customer base to include FOs or UHNWIs.  Experience in direct transactions is preferred, though fund lawyers with some secondary transactions experience will also be considered.
