Head of Legal

Exciting opportunity for a Head of Legal to join a leading national business which is going through a period of change.  Ability to work from home with requirement to be in the office in Leicestershire at least 2 days per week.

Arbuthnot Yon are working exclusively with a well-known UK based business which operates across the UK, Europe and Asia and is part of a Fortune 500 company.  The business is going through an exciting period of change and modernisation encompassing strategic investment projects that require leadership support from the newly appointed Head of Legal. 

Forming part of the Leadership Group and reporting into the CEO and the Global General Counsel of the US parent, you will work closely with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team and have overall responsibility for the legal function.  This will involve you leading on strategic projects advising on legal risk across all areas of the business.

This business is multifaceted in nature, and you will support the business with legal projects across commercial agreements, corporate transactions, property, employment and pensions, litigation, IP, risk management and insurance and compliance areas.  

We are keen to hear from Senior Lawyers who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and love what they do!  Due to the varied nature of this business, you will thrive on working across different legal areas and you will be able to operate at both a strategic and operational level.   You will also manage and be supported by a Senior Legal Counsel. 

You will be at least 8 years PQE currently working in-house in a leadership role with experience gained in commercial legal work plus and experience gained in the broader areas outlined would be a bonus.  Applications will be considered from current Head of Legal applicants looking for a change or alternatively if you are a Senior Legal Counsel looking to step up then this could be this could be a great opportunity to progress your career.

This position is based in Leicester.  The business is adopting a hybrid working model and you will be required to work in the office 2 – 3 days per week.
