The role itself is with a tier 1 international commercial and technology team. As a consequence the work represents some of the best available in terms of size, scale and complexity.

At its roots, the role demands someone who is bright, commercial and has a genuine interest in IT and technology work. In the context of the team personalities, they are down to earth and have created a fantastic and collegiate setting where people work hard but feel supported.

It is undoubtedly an opportunity for someone to cut their teeth on some really excellent work whether as a long term ambition or as a means to develop experience to enhance their prospects towards in house. In that regard the team has seen people go on to in house counsel roles within some large household names so they recognise their capacity to provide wider scope.

The workload is very wide and varied and can change and evolve depending on demand but to provide a taste of what that could look like this includes:

• advising on the procurement of goods and services (including supply agreements, distribution agreements and agency agreements),
• providing support with respect to commercial and IT contracts in the context of corporate transactions,
• multi-jurisdictional outsourcings,
• the procurement of IT goods and services (including IT outsourcing, SaaS, PaaS and IaaS) and other commercial projects.

There is a range of levels that the team can explore from NQ up to 4 years PQE. At the lower end you must have had genuine good quality commercial contracts experience.
