Liverpool (and working from home)

Salary: £42,983​ (full time, 37 hours, permanent)

This is an important role in which you will:

  • Be part of the Legal Services team providing a high performing, responsive legal service across the Group.
  • Maintain and run an active caseload across all aspects of housing management, those cases will range in complexity.
  • Raise awareness of developments within the sector, provide effective and innovative legal advice, identify risk, provide training and ensure that Group corporate objectives are met.
  • Assist the Lead Housing Management Solicitor and Group Head of Legal Services in ensuring the Group’s obligations in respect of legislation, regulatory requirements and corporate objectives are met, identifying any arising risks and establishing and implementing the appropriate controls.
  • Work collaboratively and in partnership with other teams across the Group to deliver a seamless service to customers and offer value for money. 

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be organised, be diligent, enjoy working as part of a team and be motivated. 
  • Have a Degree level education or equivalent relevant training/experience and have a Professional legal qualification as recognised by the SRA or equivalent body.
  • Have experience of dealing with disrepair cases, nuisance cases, possession cases, injunctions (both nuisance and compliance) and all other aspects of housing management matters.
  • Have knowledge of government policy and the expectations of the Regulator and, have the ability to present a case at court (excluding trials).
  • Be ready for a new challenge and to gain managerial exposure / experience.
