Torus - Data Protection Officer

Liverpool (and working from home)
Salary: £44,875 (full time, 37 hours, permanent)

This is an important role in which you will:

  • Be part of the Legal Services team providing a high performing, responsive data protection service across the Group.
  • Take responsibility for the management of Data Protection across the Group including policies, procedures, controls and guidance to achieve alignment in approach and ensure compliance with relevant Data Protection Regulation.
  • Support the general development, coordination, and monitoring of key risk and assurance information across the Group, to ensure that the risk management, internal controls and assurance frameworks are successfully implemented and maintained.
  • Report directly to Group Head of Legal Services and will provide guidance and support around data protection at all levels within the Group.  This is an exciting opportunity to shape and develop this service. 
  • Work collaboratively and in partnership with other teams across the Group to deliver a seamless service to customers and offer value for money. 

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be organised, be diligent, bring commercialism to the role, enjoy working as part of a team and be motivated. 
  • Have a Degree level education or equivalent relevant training/experience and have a data protection qualification. 
  • Be able to distil and apply the complex rules of data protection to support the Group, be pragmatic and sensible but thorough and, be supportive to the aspirations of the Group in terms of data protection.
