Legal Counsel - Commercial

Job Title: Legal Counsel
Location: Warrington
Salary: £40k - £70k

We're working with one of our fastest growing North West clients in their search for a Solicitor or Contracts Manager to join them. Over the past 12 months this business has made a series of strategic acquisitions which have broadened their service offering and significantly grown both turnover and business profile. You'll benefit from excellent internal stakeholder exposure, supported by an experienced Legal Director.

Day to day duties include: 

+ Working closely with the business to advise on, draft, review and negotiate a diverse range of commercial agreements (including NDAs, supply agreements, purchasing agreements, distribution agreements, agency agreements, B2C and B2B terms and conditions and data processing agreements)
+ Advising the Group on compliance including data protection, consumer law and advertising standards regulations
+ Assisting with the integration of newly acquired businesses from a legal and compliance perspective
+ Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business
+ Assisting/managing litigationProviding legal training to the wider businessAssisting the Legal Director with CoSec and corporate governance.

Applications are invited from UK qualified Solicitors (1-4 PQE) ideally with Commercial contracts experience, but candidates from other Practice areas where drafting / reviewing documentation has formed an essential part of the role (including Corporate, Banking/Finance, Comm Lit, Employment etc). Similarly, our client is happy to consider non qualified contracts officers/managers with substantial experience of contract reviews to date.

This hire reflects the continued growth of the business and the vital contribution of the legal team to that growth. You'll be working very closely with an experienced Legal Director with an excellent track record of growing and developing team members in an in-house environment.
