Our client, a global leader in technology investing, is looking to add a lawyer to their small London-based legal team, for a newly created part-legal, part-compliance role.

This role is responsible for supporting the business in ensuring that the FCA-licensed firm complies with its legal and regulatory obligations under the UK financial services regime as well as supporting the business on corporate legal matters. This is a broad role in which you are expected to take ownership for your work. It consists of a mixture of providing regulatory advice, performing hands-on compliance tasks, dealing with policy matters and working on new regulatory implementation projects.  It will also involve supporting the UK Legal department on corporate matters and contracts and KYC. Over time, this individual will assume the mantle of responsibility for the compliance function.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years (PQE) of legal experience gained at a leading law (in any practice area) and/or in-house. This is an outstanding opportunity for a driven individual to create the parameters of a new role.
