A leading global investment platform, working across sport, media and entertainment, is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel. Reporting to the General Counsel, the role will involve providing Corporate and Commercial legal support across all aspects of its business, both in the UK and internationally.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting legal and management teams with various projects, including investment opportunities, as they arise;
  • advising on general corporate matters;
  • handling and assisting with matters related to a large array of commercial agreements including licensing and distribution, acquisition and content protection;
  • reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts;
  • reviewing and advising on multi-jurisdictions corporate and contractual issues;
  • reviewing and negotiating MOUs, NDAs and general commercial agreements;
  • building effective relationships with management and global stakeholders;
  • providing advice to commercial, finance, operations and marketing executives;
  • coordinating and liaising with multiple offices worldwide; and
  • providing ancillary business and legal affairs support to other groups or divisions, as required

To be considered, you should be a qualified lawyer with c.4-8yrs PQE*, preferably with training from a top tier firm, with Corporate and Commercial law experience. You will ideally have exposure to media rights and/or media broadcasting contracts. Not essential, but fluency in one or other European languages would be a big plus.  

We’re looking for someone bright, personable, commercially-minded, with excellent organisational and communication skills, attention to detail, the tenacity to follow things through and the ability to multi-task and prioritise a busy and varied work-load.
