Legal Counsel, multinational West Midlands

Arbuthnot Yon are working exclusively with a diversified group of global companies seeking to appoint a Legal Counsel to join their established legal team. We are keen to hear from bright junior lawyers with a good teamwork ethos from a commercial, corporate, litigation, regulatory or property background seeking to develop their careers in-house. 

Reporting into the Senior Legal Counsel, the key focus of this role will involve advising on, drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts from procurement to customer facing supply and out-sourcing agreements.   You will also get involved in wider a range of legal issues including intellectual property, information technology, competition law, data privacy, insurance and general third party and intra-group agreements; supporting on litigation matters and compliance. 

This role is a great first time in-house move to join a blue-chip business where you will be supported and guided by more experienced lawyers. The office culture is friendly and relaxed and you will have lots of interaction across the legal team and wider business.  This role can be undertaken at the HQ in Birmingham or remotely. 

This position would be suited to a junior to mid-level lawyer from a commercial, corporate, litigation or property background who is keen to move into a business and have a commercially focused role where you will build and maintain strong relationships between Legal and commercial colleagues across the organisation, including the commercial teams and senior stakeholders.
